Ceramic Coating FAQs

With proper care and maintenance, our ceramic coatings typically last several years, keeping your paint protected and looking freshly detailed well beyond what a standard wax or sealant can offer.

Yes, ceramic coating works well on used cars. We’ll assess your paint’s condition first and carry out any necessary correction before applying the coating, so you get the best possible result.

Yes. Even if it’s only a minor paint correction, we always recommend correcting the paint before applying a ceramic coating. This removes light imperfections, enhances gloss, and ensures the coating bonds to the best possible surface.

For vehicles with heavier swirl marks, scratches or oxidation, we may recommend a more intensive correction. We’ll inspect your vehicle first and advise exactly what level of correction is needed to achieve the best possible result. Ceramic coatings protect your paint they don’t hide imperfections, so proper preparation is essential for a flawless finish.

We’ll walk you through the right maintenance routine when you pick up your car, including safe washing techniques and products that won’t compromise the coating.

Ceramic coating adds gloss and chemical resistance to protect against dirt, UV damage and everyday grime, while paint protection film is a physical layer that guards against stone chips and scratches. The two work well together, with film handling impact protection and ceramic coating handling everything else.

Ceramic coating adds a hard, protective layer but it won’t prevent stone chips or deeper scratches on its own. For that level of protection, paint protection film applied to high impact areas alongside a ceramic coating gives the best result.

Paint Correction FAQs

Most swirl marks and light to moderate scratches can be significantly improved or fully removed. Deeper scratches that have gone through the clear coat may not fully correct, but we’ll always give you an honest assessment before starting work.

It depends on your paint’s condition. We assess each car individually and recommend the right level of correction, rather than applying the same process to every vehicle.

Yes, when carried out correctly. We use machine polishing techniques suited to your car’s paint and clear coat thickness, so correction improves your paint without compromising it.

Most paint correction jobs take a full day to complete, though more extensive correction work on larger vehicles or heavily marked paint can take longer. We’ll give you an accurate timeframe once we’ve assessed your car.

Correcting swirl marks and scratches before a sale can make a real difference to how your car presents, and often helps secure a stronger offer. It pairs well with a full detail if you’re preparing your car for sale.

Detailing FAQs

A full detail covers a complete interior clean, including vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, seats and carpets, along with a full exterior wash, decontamination and polish, leaving your car looking and feeling like new inside and out.

Most details are completed within a day, depending on the size of the vehicle and its condition when it arrives.

Yes, a pre sale detail is one of the most popular reasons customers bring their car to us. A thorough interior and exterior detail can help your car present better and secure a stronger offer.

Not at all, a detail is often the first step before ceramic coating, since it gets your paint properly prepped. We can talk through the right combination for your car when you book.
